Pictou County's industrial museum holds a collection of six locomotives, among them Samson and Albion — two of the oldest surviving locomotives in the world. Samson, built by Timothy Hackworth in 1838 for the Albion Mines railway, has been on display here since 1990; around them the museum tells the coal and steel story of Nova Scotia's industrial heartland.
