The museum sits in the former baggage room of the 1912 Château-style Canadian Northern station — 'Manitoba's Most Beautiful Station' — a Heritage Railway Station of Canada built of Tyndall stone. Inside: a large HO-scale model of Dauphin's rail operations in 1954, a hand car ('jigger') visitors can explore, a caboose, and the roundhouse and turntable nearby.
