British Columbia is where Canadian train travel shows off. The Rocky Mountaineer carries the fame, but the depth is the story: nine verified operations plus a First Nations rail shuttle on Seton Lake, spread from Vancouver Island to the Kootenays.
Two of the most unusual rides in the country are here — trains that take you underground, into the Britannia copper mine at Britannia Beach and the interpretive mine at Kimberley. Add a 1929 Baldwin back in steam at Port Alberni, BC Electric interurban cars in Surrey, and a streetcar that has served Nelson for a century, and BC alone could fill a holiday.
How many listings typically run in each month — patterns, not schedules.
